Welcome to Riderwood Elementary
Riderwood Elementary School is the first nationally recognized Blue Ribbon School in Baltimore County. We provide an environment conducive to student success as a key part in our pursuit of the highest standards of excellence, and in order to emphasize college and career readiness. We provide all students with a solid foundation of academic skills that are engaging, relevant, rigorous, and that address the common core curriculum. We prepare our students to participate in a multi-ethnic 21st century global society. We utilize innovative techniques to enhance critical thinking, problem solving, life-long learning through evolving technologies, multiple intelligences, and the use of differentiated instructional strategies. We will endeavor to nurture our students’ level of personal responsibility and productivity, while respecting their individual differences and learning styles. Our students are provided multiple opportunities to participate in enrichment activities in the arts and physical education that make important contributions to them becoming well-rounded individuals. Ever mindful of our students’ well being, we pride ourselves in providing them with a comprehensive program which nurtures the whole child.
