The school store at Riderwood Elementary School is run every year by the fourth grade. The store is open three days a week from 8:30 to 8:45 a.m. on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Students are selected for the school store based on several characteristics. They must be responsible, dependable and hard working. The students also need parent permission in order to arrive early at school on their scheduled "work" days.
 

The school store's aim is to provide students with needed school supplies. Some of the functional items that the school store sells are: pencils, rulers, scissors, glue, pens, crayons, loose leaf paper erasers, folders, and highlighters.

At the beginning of the school year, students visit the school store on assigned days. By the end of the school year, the school store is open to any student on any day.
