The Riderwood Art Program seeks to promote the creative potential of every student. Students engage in sequenced art activities designed to promote conceptual understanding, skills, creativity and problem solving. A wide variety of both two- and three-dimensional media are explored as the children use critical and creative thinking to stimulate imagination, observation, and memory. An interdisciplinary, multicultural approach fosters appreciation of art as a fundamental expression of human experience.

Student artwork is displayed in the school throughout the year. Riderwood artists are also recognized with representation in Baltimore County displays.
