School Vision and Mission Statement

Riderwood Elementary School is committed to the "Challenge of Excellence" for all our students in preparing them for the twenty-first century.

We seek to enhance the rich cultural background of all our students and to develop an appreciation of and respect for the cultural, racial, ethnic, and gender diversity of all school community members.

We deem the development of self-esteem essential to the positive growth of all our students. A positive self-concept will lead to the self-respect and self-worth of each child. We believe that students who view themselves as competent learners will make good decisions and become effective problem solvers
